I asked this question in other places and was told -100%. Can anyone say how much does a decent forex trader make? I know it depends on a lot of things like how much and how often you trade and what leverage. But as a ballpark i have heard people say you can turn $10000k to double that amount over 1 year without much trouble. That is 100% return it seems a bit high to me?? What do other people here make and what is realistic point to aim for?
well it’s a hard question
many elements involve in here
but to be reasonable i think a 20-30% range is very fair
you can trade with low risk and with no pressures
i remembered making huge amounts in few days i made more than 2000% within 21 days, but i admit this is not trading, i got myself very exhausted and no sleep.
that’s not a right way to trade
Hi, I am Sam. 26 year’s young entrepreneur very much interested in forex investments & trading. I hope I will get better suggestion, recommendations & help from experts of this community. Can anyone suggest where I can learn some basics of forex trading?
100% a year as a retail trader is very doable. Thankfully slippage and partial fills aren’t a problem for us little guys when we enter and exit. There are traders who make much more than that. Unfortunately, statistics are not on your side as they say ~95% of retail traders lose. You really need to have a good edge. With the low liquidity market environment were in, it’s hard to find an edge. Not impossible, actually quite easy if you understand market structure and dynamics, but hard for most traders. And also practicing decent risk management and having your emotions sorted out is a must for long term success in this game.
